The charge is $25.00 to South Head members; $30.00 per round to non-members. Directions Follow the signs to Helensville on the North Western Motorway and then State Highway 16 from Auckland for approx 30mins. Turn left to South Head at roundabout and follow that road past Parakai for approx 15mins. Clubhouse Recently refurbished offering stunning views of the course. Restaurant Leonie's at South Head offers a wide selection of sandwiches, snacks and drinks. Hot meals available on weekends and on request. Bar Fully stocked, generously priced refreshments. Dress Smart casual dress required appropriate for the day. If unsure, please check at office. ProShop We offer a small shop with the usual suspects - balls, tees, gloves, club shirts, etc. New products arriving in all the time. South Head Golf Course, built on the sandy soils of the South Kaipara Peninsula to a design by Jack Eccles, was opened in 1969 with just a handful of members. The rolling fairways, grassed with Kikuyu, and naturally shaped greens were an instant hit and have continued to this day to provide a true challenge to every standard of golfer. You'll find no tricks at South Head - just sensational golfing conditions overlooking the Kaipara Harbour.
